Turkish Natural Stone Buyer FAQ

Practical answers about sourcing, variation, approvals, production, testing, packing and export. For material-specific questions, use the detailed RFQ so the current quarry/factory source can be checked.

Natural stone selection in a showroom
Does Atlas own quarries?

No. Atlas Global Trading Inc. works as an independent sourcing and trading company, coordinating with established Turkish quarry owners and processing factories according to each project.

Can you source a stone that is not listed on the website?

Yes. The 60-profile library is a starting point. Send a commercial name, reference photo, sample description or required color/vein character and Atlas can check Turkish sources.

Can I approve slabs before cutting?

Where commercially and operationally feasible, current slab/bundle photos, videos, representative samples or in-person selection can be coordinated. Approval method should be agreed before production.

Do natural stone colors vary?

Yes. Variation is inherent. A good order defines the acceptable range using representative controls rather than assuming every slab will match a single small sample.

Can you supply cut-to-size?

Yes, subject to material and factory capability. Steps, risers, wall panels, skirtings, thresholds, copings and project-specific pieces can be produced from drawings.

Which Incoterms are available?

Commercial terms depend on the supplier, destination and shipment. Common export structures can include EXW, FCA, FOB, CFR or CIF; the quotation should define the exact term and named place/port.

Do you provide technical test reports?

Atlas can request available material-specific technical data from the source. For critical engineering decisions, use current reports applicable to the actual material and required standard.

How are slabs and tiles packed?

Slabs are typically shipped in suitable bundles/A-frames and tiles or cut-to-size pieces in reinforced crates or pallets, with protection tailored to the stone, finish and route.

Can different stones ship together?

Sometimes, but mixed sourcing adds coordination around factory location, consolidation, packing compatibility, timing and customs documentation. Feasibility should be reviewed per order.

How do I request samples?

Submit an inquiry describing the stone, finish and project. Sample availability, courier cost and whether the sample is representative of the current lot can then be confirmed.
